Second Annual Signature’s Got Talent Show at Funky Biscuit
In cabaret style, Signature Gives Back, Inc. will showcase the talents of REALTORS® from its affiliated company, The Signature Real Estate Companies, at local hip dinner club and music hub, The Funky Biscuit in Boca Raton. The event—open to the public—marks its Second Annual Signature’s Got Talent Show, February 20, 2018 from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
“I am thrilled to advise that all proceeds from this unique event will benefit two amazing local charities, KidSafe Foundation and Wayne Barton Study Center. Both organizations provide invaluable, critical assistance to children in our local community, and we believe our future leaders deserve every opportunity to advance themselves,” says Jack Jaiven, SGB Vice President and SREC Executive Vice President.
KidSafe Foundation lists its mission: “…to provide preventive education to children and adults, empowering them with skills that create a safe society free from sexual abuse, bullying, and internet exploitation.” Similarly, Wayne Barton Study Center lists it purpose: “…to enhance the health, welfare and education of children in need in our community.”
Last year’s event was standing-room only at Boca Resto Lounge, whose owner “was so impressed with the turnout and charitable nature of the event,” according to SGB Asst. Vice President and SREC REALTOR®, Wendy Pressner, that he donated a percentage of his own profits, as well as artwork. Pressner anticipates an even larger turnout this year.
“The Signature Family is filled with tremendous talent beyond real estate and other professional fields. Signature’s Got Talent is our way of appreciating each other in new ways while raising funds to benefit local charities. We have a strong commitment to our mantra: Be the change you wish to see in this world.”
Performers from SREC will be judged by: KidSafe Foundation Executive Director/Co-Founder Sally Berenzweig; talent scout/Vice President of Entertainment with Cenvill Recreation, Abby Koffler; Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie; and Wayne Barton of his namesake philanthropy, Wayne Barton Study Center.
Signature Gives Back, Inc. enjoyed an extremely successful 2017 in raising funds to support a variety of local charities. With its First Annual Fundraiser to support hurricane victims, the group raised more than $10,000. As a result, the organization offered it first official grants, helping to restore normalcy to two families’ critical housing needs: the first by subsidizing the relocation of family members from Puerto Rico to Boca Raton, including one with special needs requiring a service dog. SGB also provided financial assistance for a generator and critical repairs for a second family’s house in Puerto Rico.
